IHBC Marsh Awards 2018 Update: President calls for entries – closing 28 February

IHBC Marsh Awards websiteThe IHBC’s Marsh Awards, developed in partnership with the Marsh Christian Trust, celebrates retired IHBC members and successful learners in heritage practice, with prizes that include £500 and a free place at the IHBC’s Annual School, while the IHBC’s President has written to members to call for more entries and to remind them of a closing date of 28 February 2018 for the current round.

David McDonald, IHBC President writes:

I just wanted to encourage you to consider promoting a nomination for the IHBC’s newly launched Marsh Awards for

  • Successful Learning in Heritage Skills
  • Community Contribution (Retired Member of the IHBC)

The nomination process is extremely simple, while the winners are recognised with cash awards of £500 and a free full place at the IHBC’s Annual School every June, where we present the awards.

For learners, both the funding and the education from the School could be a critical step-up in their trade or career.

For retired members of the IHBC (all categories), if the cash is not a priority, it could be donated to another deserving cause, as well as raising its profile.

So please do consider promoting nominations or, for someone deserving that you know, completing the easy-fill form yourself, for one or both awards, as follows:

It does take a little effort, but could make all the difference to someone’s life skills or cherished projects.
