IHBC 2018 Yearbook and School theme taster: HES ‘Engine Shed’ public education programme now out

programme coverThe work of Historic Environment Scotland at its Stirling training centre, The Engine Shed, will feature in the forthcoming 2018 IHBC School-themed Yearbook, while members can see the Engine Shed’s 2018 public training programme online now.

IHBC Director Seán O’Reilly said: ‘Each year the theme of our Annual School inspires the content of our Yearbook.  So, for 2018, the ‘Sharing’ theme in our Belfast School, linked to the European Year for Cultural Heritage, is also the springboard for our annual Yearbook review and directory.’

‘In our forthcoming Yearbook HES will explore its outreach and specialist training work at their Engine Shed.  The recent release of its public programme for 2018 is an excellent primer on how they are sharing and making accessible the skills, knowledge and experience relating to the care and understanding of our historic places.’

HES writes:

‘A huge range of activities and events are on at the Engine Shed in 2018, from family events through to professional seminars!
