IHBC’s newest HESPR members: Four more companies recognised under our conservation services quality assurance scheme

logosCrenellated Arts, Hook Mason, Listed Building Surveys and Murphy Associates are now recognised under the IHBC’s quality assured conservation service HESPR listing – at hespr.ihbc.org.uk – adding to the more than 30 other conservation and heritage businesses currently listed on the institute’s Historic Environment Service Provider Recognition (HESPR) scheme.

Standards for HESPR companies are quality assured through the employment of a Full Member of the IHBC – the ‘Designated Service Adviser’ (DSA) – who holds a role that lets them take professional responsibility for client and conservation services.  You can find the ‘Designated Service Adviser’ (DSA) listed on the dedicated HESPR business web page and on the list of accredited practitioners linked from the IHBC’s homepage.

Fiona Newton, IHBC Operations Director and manager of the HESPR scheme, said: ‘We are delighted that a growing number of practices have seen how a HESPR listing can help give a real edge to any business serious about its conservation credentials in modern markets.’

‘HESPR is not only a register underpinned by the IHBC’s conservation standards, but a source for a huge variety of services backed by the quality assurance of accredited membership of the IHBC as UK’s specialist built and historic environment conservation body.’

Alison McCandlish, Creative Director of Crenellated Arts and HESPR DSA said ‘I am delighted to join HESPR as it represents an important mark of my business development – as a sole trader offering creative heritage engagement services it is important to demonstrate to my clients that I offer specialist services which are embedded in the principles of professional integrity and high standards essential to IHBC membership – HESPR allows me to demonstrate my commitment to this and stay in touch with current tender opportunities and sector developments’.
