IHBC Scotland Branch writes:

The IHBC’s Scotland Branch is excited to return to Dundee for this fascinating event focused on Design.  Now that Dundee is a designated UNESCO City of Design, we ask ‘What has changed down by the waterfront?’

Not only is there the new and iconic V&A to explore, but how has the historic environment influenced layouts, and how are existing dockland buildings incorporated, based upon a pioneer conservation plan and subsequent master plans?

In the DCA we will discuss the role of Design Panels and of Design Awards:  Does one lead straight to the other, or are there tweaks to be done in between by our members?

We are delighted too that our colleagues in ICON will also have their Scotland branch AGM in Dundee that day, and it will be possible to move from one event to the other, but separate booking has to be made with ICON so that numbers are known.

ICON has generously extended its members’ rate to include membership of IHBC too, for this day only.

So, at the conclusion of the IHBC conference, participants may opt to join ICON for its AGM and Annual Lecture (NB: booked separately with ICON) or opt for a IHBC dinner at Daisy Tasker, newly opened inside Lower Dens Mills, daisytasker.co.uk

To find out more, including the programme, further details and to download the flyer see the IHBC Calendar.

Book with Scotland@ihbc.org.uk by 25 November.
