IHBC’s CPD Boost via our Virtual School, from ‘Built Heritage’: ‘Applying a Landscape Perspective to Digital Cultural Heritage’, free online access

As digital cultural heritage is shifting the focus from architectural settings to the landscape scale, a new ‘Special Issue’ of the free online journal ‘Built Heritage’ – the Executive Editor of which is the IHBC 2020 Virtual School contributor, architect Plácido González Martínez – addresses the theoretical and technical challenges of digital cultural heritage through a diversity of topics that range from ethics to policies and beyond.

Amidst these difficult times, the Editorial Team of Built Heritage are pleased to announce the first issue of Volume 4 (2020) of Built Heritage has just been published online, as the first publication of the cooperation of our publisher Tongji Unversity Press with the Springer Nature company. Guest edited by Dr. Chen Yang (Tongji University) and Dr. Kelly Greenop (The University of Queensland), this special issue entitled ‘Applying a Landscape Perspective to Digital Cultural Heritage’ reflects on how digital cultural heritage is shifting the focus from architectural settings to the landscape scale, and the overarching goal to improve how the recording, interpretation and storage of heritage information are conducted making it more detailed, complete, sustainable and accessible.
