The role of evaluation and research in arts, cultural and heritage organisations

A new survey of ‘the role of evaluation and research in arts, cultural and heritage organisations’, run by by the Centre for Cultural Value in Leeds, is open until Sunday 14 June.

The Centre writes:

It’s notoriously difficult to articulate cultural value but in these challenging times, the imperative to do so seems more urgent than ever. We would love to have your input into understanding current attitudes towards evaluation and research across the arts, culture & heritage sector. We anticipate this survey will take around 20 minutes to complete, and have extended the window for responding to allow as many people to respond given the current circumstances. The survey will therefore be open until Sunday 14th June.

This survey is being run by the Centre for Cultural Value. The Centre for Cultural Value has been established to develop a shared understanding of the differences that arts, culture and heritage make to people’s lives and to society. We achieve this by making research more relevant and accessible and by supporting the cultural sector and its funders to take a smarter and more rigorous approach to evaluation.

The Centre is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research CouncilPaul Hamlyn Foundation and Arts Council England. It is based at the University of Leeds and has a UK-wide remit. You can read more about the Centre here.
