IHBC highlights ‘Heritage Rescue’: Special opportunity for TV features on ‘rescues’

The IHBC has been contacted by a TV production company called Curve Media to highlight its search for feature ‘rescues’ for a new primetime series it is producing for the Discovery Channel, with the working title ‘Heritage Rescue’, to be fronted by Nick Knowles.

Tanita Matthews from Curve Media describes it as follows:

‘This series will be fronted by Nick Knowles and will aim to showcase some of Britain’s most stunning and interesting landmarks, and historical structures, whilst offering viewers an opportunity to witness craft heritage skills in action. Each of the 12 episodes will feature a different historical building that is undergoing some restoration work. We will feature and follow key parts of the restoration as well as exploring the history and heritage of the building.

‘With the production now underway, we’re looking for potential locations and organisations we can pair up with to gain initial access and follow such restorations.

Just to make you aware, we have extremely strict Covid protocols in place, which we will discuss with you in detail. But we are already filming series for BBC1, ITV1, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky and Discovery.’

Tanita has invited IHBC NewsBlog readers to get in touch with her if they have suitable projects which could be featured in the series.
