Historic preservation is an area with more than 50 years of demonstrable support from both sides of the aisle. Using historic preservation as a tool for implementation of important policy goals could be a small but very important step in bridging the recent years of dysfunction and begin an era of healing. While historic preservation does not need to be at the top of the agenda of the Biden-Harris administration, there are several preservation initiatives that, if adopted, would advance the priorities of the new administration.
