IHBC successfully concludes first General Meeting and Council under new Articles: from ‘virtual’ GMs to member support and chartering

In advance of further detail to be posted on the IHBC’s NewsBlogs, the IHBC has successfully completed the first General Meeting and Council  under its new constitution, which included securing the institute’s capacity to hold entirely ‘virtual’ General Meetings (GMs), and calls to help shape planning on member support and advise on chartership plans.

IHBC Chair – and Chair of the GM said – David McDonald said: ‘Our General Meeting has marked another step-forward for the IHBC in ensuring a robust digital future.  And I was very pleased to see that so many members took time out to attend our virtual event.’

IHBC President – and Chair of the Council – Mike Brown said: ‘It was an honour to chair the first meeting of the new Council under our newly adopted arrangements, and to hear first-hand the views of diverse members on a number of key issues including the potential make up and functions of Council, the possibility of seeking a Charter, and the future direction of the IHBC.’
