Arts Council: The Creative People and Places National Portfolio fund 2022-25 will soon open

Applications are open to both existing and new Creative People and Places consortia in eligible places.

…66 locations eligible for the new funding programme…

The Arts Council UK writes:

The list of eligible places is based on the bottom 33% of places according to the Active Lives Survey November 2015 to May 2017. These places are parts of the country where involvement in the arts is significantly below the national average.

Projects are led by consortia and must include community groups and/or grass-roots organisations as well as cultural organisations such as museums, libraries or arts organisations. Other partners might include clubs, housing associations, private-sector organisations or universities.

There are 109 places in the bottom 33% of arts engagement, according to the Active Lives Survey November 2015 to May 2017. Of those 109 locations, 43 (highlighted in red), are already in receipt of Creative People and Places funding. This leaves 66 locations eligible for the new funding programme.

As with the previous programme, we will take into account existing investment and infrastructure in any place. Applications from areas which currently receive significant funding from the Arts Council will need to demonstrate added value and make a compelling case for additional investment when applying for the new programme.
