IHBC’s HESPR ‘Special Interest Sector News’ pick: HESPR ‘15 minutes free advice scheme’ launched to the public

logoThe IHBC’s heritage business register HESPR – our Historic Environment Service Providers Recognition quality assurance scheme for heritage services – emails members weekly ‘News and Tender Alerts, and this week features the launch of a new HESPR ‘15 minutes free advice scheme’, as summarised for HESPR members below.

The IHBC writes:

Fifteen minutes free advice and guidance will now be available from HESPR companies to enquirers looking for expert advice with the launch of the ‘HESPR 15 advice scheme’.  Those looking for expert advice will now be able to contact HESPR companies direct and should mention ‘the HESPR 15 minutes free advice offer’.

… Queries should be those requiring general in principle advice not specific detailed advice…

If your company takes the enquiry you will give basic initial information in the 15 minutes available.  The advice given will be basic initial information, provided in the time available.  This might answer the query completely, or it may point enquirers towards other sources of information – including the adviser of ‘last resort’ under this free HESPR service, IHBC Enterprises – or suggest where further professional advice is required.   Queries should be those requiring general in principle advice not specific detailed advice which would require immediate paid for advice.

The scheme has been promoted initially through the IHBC’s Caring for Your Home .  Enquirers will find you by a search of the HESPR entries and will approach you direct using the contact details listed.

There is no obligation for HESPR members to take on enquiries. The HESPR company can choose not to offer advice when asked and should respond to the request saying they cannot do so, directing the enquirer to other HESPR members.…
