IHBC, IEMA & CIfA launch joint Principles of Cultural Heritage Impact Assessment (PCHIA)

The IHBC with project partners IEMA and the CIfA have launched a joint practice standard: Principles of Cultural Heritage Impact Assessment (PCHIA), with IHBC past-Chair and our project lead James Caird highlighting the opportunity for these Principles to ‘become the accepted standard across the full  spectrum of heritage’.

… for the benefit of our members and the wider heritage community…

James Caird said: ‘The IHBC was very pleased to co-author the Principles of Cultural Heritage Impact Assessment for the benefit of our members and the wider heritage community in undertaking heritage assessment work.’

‘The Institute, with its co-authors IEMA and CIfA, hopes that the principles will become the accepted standard across the full  spectrum of heritage types, plan and project contexts and regulatory  regimes.’

‘Following a successful launch on 20 July, the Principles are available for free download on all three Institutes’ websites.’
