MCT name change: ‘Marsh Charitable Trust’, partners in the IHBC Marsh Awards

The Marsh Charitable Trust (MCT) is the new name for the Marsh Christian Trust, lead partners in the IHBC Marsh Awards programme.

…40th anniversary…. a perfect time to reflect on the public-facing name of the MCT and our image…

MCT writes:

This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the Marsh Christian Trust. The Trust supports organisations across the charity sector through our Awards Scheme and Grants Programme. The Awards Scheme recognises and celebrates volunteers from our partner organisations that have gone above and beyond for their charity. Our Grants Programme supports smaller charities across the sector through long-term core funding.

The Marsh Christian Trust was formed on Christian principles; however, the Trust does not limit its support to people and organisations of all backgrounds, and is inclusive of all organisations, including those of other faiths or none.

As we are celebrating the Trust’s 40th anniversary in 2021, it was decided that this is a perfect time to reflect on the public-facing name of the MCT and our image. After consultation with the Trustees and our Award partners, we are pleased to announce that the MCT will now be publicly known as the ‘Marsh Charitable Trust’.

The MCT will maintain the same principles that we have always followed, and we feel this new name will present a more inclusive image for the Trust, reflective of the inclusive policies that we have always followed.

We are looking forward to the future with a new, refreshed image for the MCT and maintaining our grant making and Award partnerships, while continuing to form new ones.
