‘The details are being finalised of course, like much else around the COP, and if you want to help, host, promote or access it, let our Director know!’

IHBC Chair David McDonald said: ‘The IHBC is delighted to offer this accessible and practical resource and service to both local and global COP26 networks, and help promote our message, that ‘Conserving our Places Conserves our Planet.’

‘The IHBC’s built and historic environment ‘Conservation Helpdesk+’ will offers free guidance on our unique array of resources and partner networks, including programmed events – notably our IHBC@COP26 Podcasts – videos, training and guidance.’

‘The details are being finalised oof course, like much else around the COP, and if you want to help, host, promote or access it, let our Director know!’

IHBC Director Sean O’Reilly said: ‘Our ‘Conservation Helpdesk+’ is very exciting, as it will be open to anyone, anywhere, on each day of the COP26, and for as long as capacity allows.’

‘The ‘Conservation Helpdesk+’ advice sessions currently advertised – each day from 3PM to 8PM local times – will be extended as we gather in volunteers and partners hosting additional free programmes, such as dedicated climate-linked conservation advice, learning and networking opportunities.’

‘The ‘Conservation Helpdesk+’ can take queries any time too – even if it is not open formally or if we are occupied with other events.  Simply use the platform chat, or email ihbchelpdesk@ihbc.org.uk or hop on to social media using #IHBCHelpdesk and we’ll pick them up.’

‘This means we’re open to enquiries on all aspects of conserving buildings and places across the entire COP26 period, even when hosting feature and partner events.  Of course that’s because ‘Conserving our Places Conserves our Planet!’

‘We’ll do our best to advise or re-direct on all relevant queries too, using the IHBC’s entire network, so the IHBC@COP26 Built and Historic Environment ‘Conservation Helpdesk+’ can be a truly global and inclusive service!’

‘We are already planning some fascinating themed podcasts and the like!  So keep an eye out on our NewsBlogs (sign up HERE) or check our evolving programme HERE.
