IHBC@COP26 virtual built and historic environment ‘Conservation Helpdesk+’: Engaging with COP26, because ‘Conserving our Places Conserves our Planet’

The IHBC is supporting built and historic environment conservation at COP26 through our virtual ‘IHBC@COP26 ‘Conservation Helpdesk+’ to guide visitors and delegates to our resources, our members’ activities and our linked  partners and networks, because ‘Conserving our Places Conserves our Planet’.

IHBC Director Seán O’Reilly said: ‘The IHBC has gone the extra mile to support building and place-conservation awareness and understanding at COP26 by offering our ‘Conservation Helpdesk+’.  This is the best – and most low-carbon – way for us to connect COP26 aspirations with the carbon management opportunities offered by the ordinary conservation practices and standards to which we work.

‘Of course, we’re doing all this as part of our core charitable agenda, because, as we say, ‘Conserving our Places Conserves our Planet’.

‘So our IHBC@COP26 ‘Conservation Helpdesk+ staff, members and volunteers will do what we can to direct anyone to the best solution for their conservation quandaries’.

‘We’re also offering a huge suite of in-house and partner resources to stimulate new solutions to persistent problems. ‘

Our ‘Climate and Conservation’ Podcasts have been specially developed for our Conservation Helpdesk+  platform too , helping the IHBC – including our networks and partners – plan ahead for what happens in conservation after COP26.’
