IHBC@COP26 call to members to respond to architects regulation review: ALL IHBC members are encouraged to respond before close on 8/11

The current review of architects regulation is part of a wider review to make sure that the architectural profession is inclusive and progressive – echoing many IHBC@COP26 aspirations – and IHBC Members and other built and historic environment specialists and players are encouraged to respond to this consultation before it closes on 8 November.

…strongly encourage all our members to submit personal responses to this consultation…

IHBC Director Seán O’Reilly said: ‘This Review’s aim is to ‘have a bigger and longer-term focused conversation’ and – like CIAT and others – we strongly encourage all our members to submit personal responses to this consultation.’

‘The issues it considers need to shaped by the full spectrum of built environment players to give a full picture of the current situation and future needs from all perspectives, not just those of architects.’

The Review writes:

‘The time is right to have a bigger and longer-term focused conversation with the architectural sector about the purpose of regulation and government policy in this sector and how they could be improved to deliver a modern, innovative, accessible and diverse profession that delivers better, greener and safer design and construction in the built environment.’
