IHBC CPD Update #IHBCAberdeen2022 SESSION 2: Innovation… working with ‘new’ heritage – in person, or online from £25+VAT

After welcomes that include Griff Rhys Jones (video), the second session of the IHBC’s Aberdeen Day School on 17 June targets issues around ‘new heritage’: the nuclear industry; modernism and communities, and the ‘challenging’ heritage of the fossil fuel era of oil, and ranging across all the IHBC’s Areas of Competence.

The IHBC writes:

The IHBC’s Aberdeen 2022 Day School, on 17 June, offers options for both in-person attendance and ‘virtual’, online participation….

Regular ‘Question and Answer’ sessions take place across the day. To be sure to get your question to the top of the list, please submit yours as soon as possible HERE.

NB: Virtual Day School fees (or equivalent) will be reimbursed to the delegate with the most useful question submitted in advance, as selected by the Chair…..

  • Egle Rindzeviciute, Associate Professor, Kingston University): Heritage in the nuclear industry Identification and understanding
  • Dara Parsons, Head of Designations, Historic Environment Scotland: Engaging with communities: Communicating values in modern places
  • Bjorn Lindberg, Head of documentation and Research at the Norwegian Petroleum Museum: Curating challenging heritage

Other sessions include:

  • ENVIRONMENT: Heritage management ‘on the edge’
