IHBC features ‘Heritage from the (conservation) doorstep’: ISKCON’S role in preserving a local landmark

After raising £350,000, and receiving an additional grant of £750,000 from Historic England, in 2021, ISKCON began the process of renovating the 150-year-old roof….

Pradyumna Das, president of ISKCON Leicester, explained the importance of having a temple in the centre of the city…

This sentiment was shared by local councillor Patrick Kitterick…

Despite the pandemic prolonging the renovation, with the building now due to open later this year, ISKCON has remained defiant in carrying out its vital work. Pradyumna Das reported “Even though the temple is closed right now due to renovation, we have restarted our programs and connect with families across the city…”
