#IHBCAberdeen2022 SM update (Part 2): Second digital collation (and Wakelet!) – Blended Day School and IHBC Market Place

Alison McCandlish, IHBC’s lead consultant for Social Media (SM) at our 2022 Aberdeen School (15-18/06), has collated participation data in this second School SM post, on the blended Day School and IHBC Heritage MarketPlace.

‘…the first year which we have offered a hybrid Annual School…’

Alison writes:

As part of the hybrid learning experience this year at the Annual School we created opportunities for delegates to interact both in person at the venue, and through digital channels. This is the first year which we have offered a hybrid Annual School, which has allowed us to share some of the learning from the delivery of this event with you, as well as provide short summaries which help give a taster of the Annual School.

… view them all in one place without the need to have any special accounts or logins…

We have pulled together a ‘Wakelet’ which collects a selection of delegate photographs and social media posts, you can view them all in one place without the need to have any special accounts or logins  https://wke.lt/w/s/7dcaXC Some of the digital highlights from the IHBC Market Place and The Day School which delegates shared include:

  • A glimpse of the wonderful venue for the Day School
  • A taster of some of the discussions at the IHBC Market Place and happy hour with the IHBC https://wke.lt/w/s/6mJa93
  • Insights into Griff Rhys Jones’ views on heritage on the edge and Angus Robertson (Cabinet Secretary for the Constitution, External Affairs and Culture, Scottish Government) on the importance of working together towards climate resilience and sustainability for our built heritage
  • Reflections on all of the conference presentations
  • Some delegates shared views of their hybrid conference attendance setup- cats, tea and ice cream was involved!

Thanks again to everyone who contributed to the successful running of the IHBC Annual School in Aberdeen this year, and to delegates who attended in person and online.
