Haunting pictures show the aftermath of a devastating fire to Ayr Station Hotel reports the Daily Record News.

Daily Record News writes [26/09/23]:

Ayr’s Station Hotel has been left gutted after a huge fire ripped through the historic building last night.

Haunting images have emerged showing the eerie surroundings after a raging inferno tore apart the iconic former hotel. The blaze has decimated the once grand Victorian era building, with pictures from the scene detailing the extensive damage….

….The site where the grand chateaux-like clock tower once stood has crumbled – after it collapsed due to the intense flames.

… Other harrowing images show the iconic Robert Burns Statue with the burnt out Station Hotel in the background.

… Earlier Police Scotland confirmed that two teenage boys were arrested and charged in connection with fire-raising after the blaze….

A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson said…’At its height, Operations Control mobilised 15 appliances to the scene…’
