The European Architecture Prize Philippe Rotthier 2024, is for architectural projects, urban and rural developments completed in the last five years promote architecture in harmony with nature etc, and closes 30 April.

IHBC welcomes formal signing by IHBC Chair and ICOMOS-UK President of new MOU, securing ‘closer ties and cooperation’
The IHBC has welcomed the formal signing of its Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ICOMOS-UK, as a structured agreement focussed on establishing ‘closer ties and cooperation between these two organisations in the field of heritage conservation’.

A new closing date of 30 April has been announced for the two IHBC 2024 Marsh Awards – for ‘civic contributions by retired members’, and for ‘successful learning in heritage skills’ – with awards of £500 and free places at IHBC’s 2024 Annual School in Reading, for presentations on June 14.

IHBC’s Chair David McDonald has reminded voting members to complete proxy voting forms – SHORT or LONG as suits – as back-up arrangements for voting at our 2024 AGM on 30 April, while reminding all to register in advance for the AGM’s CPD session with Robyn Pender on ‘… Why exactly are we using so much energy in buildings in the first place?’.

It is not known how much of Poltimore House can be saved following a devastating fire, though the charitable trust has pledged to save what they can of the building, reports DevonLive.
