The You and Yours episode on 25/05 featured an important piece on Buildings at Risk – local and national – including a ‘very positive’ contribution from IHBC Member Mike Tagg, CO at Bassetlaw District Council.

Reporter Bob Walker’s feature explored issues summarised from the introduction follows: ‘Non-listed buildings and structures are at risk because owners are unwilling or unable to maintain them… [as] hard-pressed local councils are also…trying to protect others… not listed but equally important to local communities….

There are concerns that current powers don’t go far enough and that too many buildings are being left to rot…
