IHBC welcomes Michael Netter as New STBA Director

The IHBC is delighted to welcome IHBC’s own Michael Netter, our Professional Services Officer, in his new part-time role as its Director.

Michael Netter said: ‘I’m thrilled to join the STBA and look forward to helping improve approaches to traditional buildings particularly when it comes to retrofitting.  I’ll also be staying on with the IHBC to help continue providing and supporting professional services.’

We are pleased to announce Michael Netter is our new Director.  Michael is also the Professional Services Officer at IHBC and Hon Secretary/Trustee at COTAC.

With an MSc in Historic Building Conservation from Kingston University and a BSc in Construction Engineering from Purdue University, he transitioned from project management at Skanska to the heritage sector in 2013. Passionate about sustainability, he advocates for widespread, sympathetic repair and improvement of the built environment, believing innovative technologies are crucial.

Netter is involved in home retrofit/renovation, the Climate Heritage Network, and hosts an IHBC podcast on conservation and climate change.
