IHBC features ‘Heritage from the global doorstep’: Historic Obelisk Bridge near Drogheda to reopen

An historic bridge in Ireland has been re-opened after repair works, reports RTE.

The historic Obelisk Bridge outside Drogheda will reopen to traffic… after nine months of refurbishment works.

The 154-year old bridge closed last August…

… Locals… complained of the diversion adding to the already heavily congested town…

… Extensive works were carried out, including the installation of replacement cross beams…
