The Stone Federation Great Britain’s Natural Stone Awards presentation took place at the start of December and included a special award for a traditional stone project.
More than 350 people attended the presentation ceremony and the Special Award for a traditional stone project was awarded to a new oratory in the South of England built by Ketton Stone Masonry & Fixing to a design by Craig Hamilton Architects.
The other award-winning projects include:
- New build modern style stone masonry – The Flint House
- New build traditional style stone masonry – 7-8 St James’s Square
- Repair and restoration – Wimpole Gothic Tower, Wimpole Estate
- Carving, lettering and sculpture – 8 St James’s Square, London
- Craftsmanship – Carlisle Cathedral – Renewal of South Port Entrance
- Sustainability – Mingary Castle Restoration.
