IHBC HESPR’s top pick from c.£1M of costed work this week: Craven DC seeks research on its ‘Great Place’ project, value £50-60K, closing 09/03

HESPR logoThe IHBC’s heritage business list, HESPR – the Historic Environment Service Providers Recognition scheme – offers its members weekly ‘News and Tender Alert’ emails, with costed opportunities worth more than £1M this week, and the IHBC Director’s current top pick for NewsBlog readers features Craven District Council’s (DC) call to commission research on ‘Younger Peoples’ Attitude towards and perception of living and working in the Craven and South Lakelands’, valued at £50-60,000 and closing on 9 March.

IHBC Chair James Caird said: ‘Our weekly Bulletin of current tender notifications to HESPR members is an innovative service that supports commercial conservation businesses that work to the IHBC’s standards and expectations.  These weekly selections offer the wider heritage world a regular insight into the conservation profession that we hope combine good news, sector profile and service inspiration all in one.’

Top tender pick of the week:

The IHBC Director’s picks from the HESPR News and Tender Alert email for this week is the call from Craven District Council for research relating to ‘Younger Peoples’ Attitude towards and perception of Living and Working in the Craven and South Lakelands’, of which it says: the ‘Great Place: Lakes and Dales programme seeks to commission research to address the low number of younger people in this rural area. The intention of the Great Place project is that the Craven/South Lakeland area will be where a sustainable, resilient, creative community and economy exists, celebrating the distinctiveness of place, the skill and experience of creative people and a good quality of life. This commissioned research will inform and recommend the next steps for the project’. Valued at £50,000-60,000, the call closes on 9 March.
