Being Human festival searches for the UK’s best arts and humanities events: 14-23 Nov

logo and graphicLed by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, in partnership with the AHRC and the British Academy, Being Human is the UK’s only national festival of the humanities. This year’s festival (14-23 November) is called ‘Discoveries & Secrets’.

Being Human writes:

The 2019 festival will take place 14-23 November on the theme ‘Discoveries & Secrets’.  The aim of the festival is to take research in the humanities and share it in creative and engaging ways with non-specialist audiences. Researchers can apply for ‘Small Awards’ of up to £1,500 and ‘Hub Awards’ of up to £4,000.

Led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the British Academy, Being Human is the UK’s only national festival of the humanities.  In November each year the festival brings together universities, museums, galleries, archives, independent research organisations, community and commercial partners to make research in the humanities accessible to non-specialist audiences and demonstrate its relevance to our everyday lives.
