IHBC at Stone show, 15-17 March

The IHBC will have a stand at The Natural Stone Show at ExCeL in London’s Docklands from 15th to 17th March, and lead organizer and IHBC technical panel co-ordinator Julian Bagg is keen to welcome members there and to hear from any volunteers who may be able to help out on the stand.

Julian Bagg said: “The IHBC stand will be part of a ‘Conservation Corner’ to include English Heritage, English Stone Forum, SPAB & ICON. The Natural Stone Show attracts stone practitioners and exhibitors from all over Britain and Ireland and around the world.

Having a stand at this exhibition provides the opportunity for IHBC to reach professionals who work with historic buildings in a practical capacity but may not be aware of the work of the institute. IHBC volunteers will be on hand throughout the three days to chat with delegates and exhibitors, but we’re always keen to have more volunteers along at the stand.”

This operation follows a hugely successful stand manned by the IHBC’s London Branch at the Listed Property Show in February, under the guidance of IHBC vice-chair Sheila Stones, as reported on the London Branch web site.
