IHBC at HE’s ‘Traditional Roofs’ conference update, on Wood and more

The IHBC joined exhibitors and advised some of the 150 delegates at the recent Historic England (HE) event on ‘Traditional Roofs Conference: Repair and conservation of traditional roofs’, as HE reported on its research into historic roofs and attendant pressures faces by key stakeholders, including the Church of England.

HE Chief Executive Duncan Wilson introduced the conference, in particular commending the leadership of Chris Wood – the body’s retiring Head of Building Conservation and Research, and nominee for the IHBC’s Education Secretary role at the Brighton  AGM in June  –  for the leading role he has played in this critical area of conservation practice.
