New £1,000 prize for best memorial in Cemetery Awards: Closes 31/07

A new category for ‘best memorial’ in the Cemetery of the Year Awards (CYA) gives masons a chance to win £1,000, thanks to the sponsorship of BRAMM, the register of approved memorial installers, closing 31 July.

The award is open to any memorial installed in a cemetery in the past five years. It will be marked on its design and innovation. The winner will receive £1,000 prize money, a CYA Gold Award Certificate and a CYA press release for use by the winner to promote their work. Silver Awards will be presented to the runners-up along with a press release. If you have a memorial you would like to enter, get permission from the family who commissioned it then submit a maximum of three photographs of it and a short description using the entry form on the CYA website: www.cemeteryoftheyear.org.uk. The competition is free and entries will be accepted between 31 March and 31 July. They will be judged on the basis of design and innovation by a team from BRAMM.
