As part of the wider ‘Heritage and Our Sustainable Future series’, these brief reports focus on key themes from across the cultural heritage and sustainable development sectors in order to provide insight, recommendations and practical, solution-led case studies for best practice.
This report builds upon recommendations from earlier conference sessions and previous discussions in the sector calling for greater recognition of the potential of cultural heritage to help achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda. It explores current evaluation frameworks to capture the impacts of cultural heritage for sustainable development. It also discusses existing assessment challenges and ways to rethink and reframe methods for measuring heritage-generated impacts.
