The IHBC writes:

A practice-led CPD special on England’s Listed Building Consent guidance in HEAN 16 from Victoria Thomson, Head of National Strategy at Historic England, and its UK and Home Country contexts, were the centrepiece of learning on offer to the c.170 IHBC members attending the IHBC’s Council on 24 February.

The presentation focused on the HEAN’s background, preparation and content.

New IHBC Trustees Ann Grant, Scotland, & Des Cairns, North Ireland, offered comments on similar matters in their Home Nations, while over a dozen other questions were asked and addressed by other IHBC members.

The new Council is the IHBC’s inclusive advisory and training body. This short Council offered practice-based, relevant CPD to help define and develop various methods of training for the IHBC. It also complemented the internal discussions around the AGM following, which was in turn attended by the majority of Council delegates.

Notes of the meeting will be available on completion.
