Ex-ante evaluation of the 2014 to 2020 European Regional Development Fund Operational Programme

In 2013 external consultants were commissioned to undertake an ex-ante evaluation of the draft 2014 to 2020 European Regional Development Fund Operational Programme for England. The findings of this report informed the final design of the Operational Programme.

Scoping of the national evaluation of the 2014 to 2020 European Regional Development Fund programme.

Regeneris Consulting was commissioned in 2016 to provide options and recommendations for effectively evaluating the programme. A scoping study was undertaken to inform the design and costing of an ERDF National evaluation and ensure it delivers good value for money.

Summative assessments

There is a requirement for all ERDF grant recipients to undertake a summative assessment. The documents on this page provide the essential information needed to plan and undertake the assessment.

Evaluation of the 2007 to 2013 European Regional Development Fund programme for England.

Evaluations have been commissioned on the programme which looked at 3 areas – economic impacts, economic effectiveness and lessons learnt; and the role for and effectiveness of decentralised delivery and local incentives in local economic growth. The results of the evaluation helps to design the to 2014 to 2020 European Regional Development Fund programme….

The ERDF programme continues to invest in projects after the transition period ended on 31 December 2020. All funding must finish by the end of 2023.
