The National Churches Trust (NCT) has launched Every Church Counts, a six point plan to save the UK’s churches.
The NCT writes:
Churches are the UK’s biggest heritage challenge. Since 2013, over 3,500 churches have shut their doors for good and many more are now facing closure. Our plan sets out six key actions to help save these fantastic buildings….
A national plan is urgently needed to help secure the future of our church buildings. Our six point plan is a blueprint for how the UK Government, heritage organisations and Christian denominations can work together to tackle the UK’s single biggest heritage challenge….
