IHBC co-sponsors Construction CPG at Scottish Parliament

The IHBC is co-sponsoring the Scottish Parliament’s Construction Cross Party Group (CPGC) event on 2 December, ‘Addressing Fuel Poverty In Scotland’s Traditional Homes’, which is aimed at getting support for an in-depth survey of traditional buildings as to determine in more detail the market for repair, and has a small number of places available on a first-come basis.

John McKinney writes:
There will be an exhibition of roof slating, stonemasonry and joinery (sash & case window) work undertaken by apprentices, who will be present to discuss their training and future careers.

… There will representation from built environment professionals who will highlight how, and why, to prioritise repairs and undertake them correctly.

It may be possible for a debate on the subject to take place that evening before the evening reception which is being sponsored by Margaret McCulloch MSP.

Places are limited, so if you are in the IHBC and interested in attending you must register your interest and have your place and details confirmed by contacting Seán O’Reilly at director@ihbc.org.uk.
