Experience a digital version of Sir John Soane’s Museum

The historic house, museum and library of 19th century architect Sir John Soane has now been digitised, allowing visitors see its fascinating objects and eclectic rooms.

The museum has used 3D technology to scan and digitise a selection of museum rooms and objects. There’s an initial ‘fly-though’ into the house where the walls become translucent so visitors can see glimpse of different rooms.

There are then options to visit the Model Room, housing models such as those of the Temple of Vesta and Westminster Law Courts, and the Sepulchral Chamber, containing the Sarcophagus of King Seti I.

Further rooms and objects will be digitised as the project progresses to increase interaction.
