DBW headlines IHBC’s Manchester School to 6500 construction industry users – So reach out your colleagues and networks too!

infographic imageDesigning Buildings Wiki (DBW), the online construction industry knowledge base, has featured the IHBC’s 2017 Manchester School and its ‘Infrastructure’ theme to their 6500+ practitioner users, while IHBC members are encouraged to follow that lead and alert colleagues and networks to the unique learning on offer there too!

DBW focusses the School notice on its publication of the 2017 IHBC Yearbook lead article by Dave Proudlove, on ‘Heritage perspectives on infrastructure’.  The DBW online platform also hosts the IHBC’s Conservation Wiki, which carries more detail on the institute’s topic for the 2017 School, in Manchester on 22-24 June, and its theme, of ‘Transport Infrastructure’.

IHBC Director Seán O’Reilly said: ‘Our 2017 School offers delegates a unique opportunity to understand the heritage of transport infrastructure, and how to manage it for the future.  This is a unique learning and practice opportunity, but a big challenge for us is to alert the mainstream practitioners that shape so much of that resource.’

‘Our partnership with the Designing Buildings Wiki platform offers an unparalleled resource for raising the profile of the School, and with some 32,000 page views a day and 380,000 unique users a month, we are sure to gain some substantial traction across the development industry.  However IHBC members also can help hugely by letting colleagues and networks know about this ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity to gain insights the current state of heritage and infrastructure.’
