CIAT accredited Conservationists eligible to undertake Quinquennial Inspections of churches

The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) has announced that its Accredited Conservationists are now eligible to undertake work as a Quinquennial Inspectors on church buildings.

CIAT writes:

From 1 January 2021, CIAT-Accredited Conservationists are eligible to undertake work as a Quinquennial Inspector. As stated on the Church of England’s website, church buildings in the UK must be inspected every five years and the inspection must be carried out by a suitably experienced and qualified professional.
