CHN on Youth, Culture & Climate: Volunteers sought to help plan 2021 pre-cop event: Deadline 28/02

The Climate Heritage Network (CHN) – the international network of which the IHBC is a member – has issued a call for volunteers ‘to help plan an event at the 2021 pre-COP’, based in Milan from 30 September, with a deadline for volunteers of 28 February.

[preceded by]… unprecedented opportunity for young people to put forward ideas on some of the most pressing climate issues…

… CHN is seeking volunteers to help…

CHN writes:

Each UN Climate Summit (COP) is preceded by a preparatory meeting held about a month before, called a Pre-COP, which offers an informal setting to discuss and exchange views on key political aspects of the COP agenda. The 2021 Pre-COP will be held in Milan, Italy on 30 September– 2 October. It will be proceeded by Youth4Climate: Driving Ambition, an unprecedented opportunity for young people to put forward ideas on some of the most pressing climate issues. The CHN is working with the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Tourism to develop a youth, culture and climate event at the Pre-COP designed to connect the youth movements of arts, culture and heritage organisations across the globe around the issue of climate change. The CHN is seeking volunteers to help plan the event. E-mail the CHN Secretariat at info@climateheritage.org for more information. And, share the news that 28 February is the deadline for young climate leaders to apply to represent their country in Milan.
