… members….FREE including lunch and refreshments…non-members for a £10…

IHBC SE Branch Chair Jo Saady writes:

I’m writing to… invite you to attend this wonderful day on Saturday July 9th which is the first of its kind since the pandemic, a relaxed but informative affair from 10:30 on.

Our branch is renting a venue for the day at the gorgeously located charity owned Linklater Pavilion in the centre of historic Lewes to celebrate after two years of the pandemic, which is why members are offered this event for FREE including lunch and refreshments. We are also welcoming non-members for a £10 fee.

… rare visit to see a mathematically tiled Georgian Meeting House…

The day also includes a talk on ‘The Antics of a Historic England Listing Inspector’ with our very own Richard Morrice and after lunch the optional chance to tour around the Conservation Areas of Lewes including a rare visit to see a mathematically tiled Georgian Meeting House, learn about the work undergoing on Lewes Castle walls or visit Harvey’s Brewery (numbers limited on that option I’m afraid).

It promises to be a fantastic day, a great chance to network and tell the committee what you want from the IHBC in our panel discussion in relaxed informal surroundings.

Please book your place ASAP so that we can plan for catering, details attached.
