IHBC’s Recognised CPD Providers: 65 on board our accessible (and free) sector-leading service, with more welcome

The IHBC’s Recognised CPD Provider service counts some 65 members, and is growing monthly, with the latest to join this accessible and free resource including INTBAU, the Vernacular Architecture Group, The Institute of Conservation, and the Heritage Alliance.

… We continue to see strong interest in the service throughout the sector…

IHBC Education Committee Chair Chris Wood said: ‘Tying accessible targeted training to the needs of conservation and heritage practitioners lies at the heart of our charitable objectives.  Offering our accredited members cost-effective guidance and support in their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) responsibilities is especially important for us too.’

‘Our free and light-touch ‘IHBC Recognised CPD Providers’ service lets us address those priorities.’

IHBC Director Seán O’Reilly: ‘Our service also has a feedback form for any users to ‘get back’ to us.  Whether to update on services, offer special thanks for specific programmes, or to raise concerns, responding this way means we can maintain the service at the least possible cost to all users: free!’

… providing our members with the resources necessary to fulfil their CPD requirements…

Michael Netter, IHBC Professional Services Officer, said: ‘We continue to see strong interest in the service throughout the sector.  As we continue to make a strong push as an organisation emphasising the importance of CPD, we’re also ensuring we’re providing our members with the resources necessary to fulfil their CPD requirements.’

Michael Netter, who also manages the service, writes:

The IHBC’s ‘Recognised CPD Providers’ are listed on the Providers’ IHBC web page along with their logo and an overview of their organisation.  The simple search users find content can contribute to their CPD requirements and needs.

Members can also refer to IHBC’s Events Calendar to find an array of events presented by the Recognised CPD Providers.

To further signpost CPD opportunities, our free monthly IHBC CPD Circular, produced and distributed by the IHBC and highlighted on our NewsBlog service HERE , distils these upcoming events into a 3-month look-ahead format.  Opportunities include conferences, seminars, training, lectures, apprenticeships, and other events, and span formats as diverse as in-person to virtual, live to recorded.’
