IHBC Chair and President on low-cost 2024 Virtual School, 14/06: Promote critical skills to members, colleagues & networks, at #IHBCReading2024, from £30+VAT

IHBC Chair David McDonald and President Mike Brown have written to all IHBC members to encourage active engagement with the 2024 Virtual School – part of our #IHBCReading2024 School – and to promote its low-cost to colleagues etc. as an easy way to build skills in conservation.

IHBC David McDonald and President Mike Brown write:

For only £30 + VAT you can still access essential CPD as an online delegate at our Virtual School on 14 June, including key recordings after if you can’t make it on the day. As ever there will be the chance to hear some inspiring speakers and thoughts.  You’ll also be able to keep up-to-date on a whole range of heritage-focussed topics, from project finance and people management to legal insights and new digital technologies.

…please highlight, pass on and promote our low-cost Virtual School to colleagues…

Naturally we want to make sure we make the most of the School’s expert, diverse and extensive opportunities for ALL our members, your colleagues widest networks, as well as joining in, please do take the time to read this update.

Our Virtual School offers accessible, low-cost learning in line with our CPD standards, models and support.  Virtual School benefits (with recordings for reference too) apply across all member categories:

  • Accredited (Full & Associate): Mandatory CPD hours
  • Affiliate: Priority practice and accreditation content
  • Supporters: Foundations for Affiliate applications

Low fees mean almost anyone with an interest can join in the School this way too.  So do please highlight, pass on and promote our low-cost Virtual School to colleagues in any ways that suit you.  These can include personal encouragement to attend and endorsement to your colleagues as well as social media sharing (on LinkedIn and X/Twitter and Facebook especially) or forwarding relevant NewsBlogs.

This will really make a difference to sector and practice engagement with the issues that are central to all our interests, and help make your own contributions more effective and easier.
