The IHBC has launched a member and user survey to help capture the mood of our current and future membership in a ‘10-minute survey’ that also offers a chance to win a £50 voucher if completed before the closure of the survey at 5.30 pm on Tuesday 25 March.
IHBC President Trefor Thorpe said: ‘This institute, the IHBC, is your institute. The way we are governed in years to come will largely determine how successfully we can support you, in your careers and in our wider efforts in conservation. As we continue to look at forward options to improve our governance and make sure we address future challenges, it is vitally important that you all have an input now.’
‘Since I came into my post, I’ve been working with IHBC’s Council on how we might shape the IHBC for the 21st century. We’ve explored lots of different ideas, and we’ve already got some strategic, critical changes coming up for the next AGM, notably new voting procedures and systems to make our governance more accessible to our members. That’s all in hand, but just now we also need a current measure of the mood of our members, supporters and users.’

The current brief survey asks for your views on how well or otherwise you consider things work now, and in what areas they might be best improved. These results will shape our way forward, so please give it some thought and just a little of your valuable time.
