IHBC Director Seán O’Reilly said: ‘Our new Branch Update combines direct links to Branch events, listed chronologically, as well as Branch news.  Members can plan CPD and networking months ahead, as well as reflect on events past, and maybe even find inspiration for low-cost training you’d like to help deliver to colleagues, as an IHBC member or just for you own special interest.’

‘We’ll develop and refine the service in spoons to members and use feedback, so please let Carla know what you think by emailing at support@ihbc.org.uk

‘You can also share this NewsBlog with any colleagues interested in heritage but unfortunate enough not to be members of the IHBC, in case they might gain from the hard work of our uniquely proactive Branch network.  They might also be reminded that in many cases the free events are not necessarily free to non-members, and IHBC members usually get priority, so always be sure to check out the details with the lead Branch.’

‘So feel free to pass on this and future Branch Updates to colleagues to help spread the IHBC’s word and extend our networks.’

The committee will be meeting soon to discuss themes, locations and details.

Want to join the SE Branch Committee?
We are interested in hearing from any Affiliates or Full Members interested in being on the committee, ahead of our AGM on 9 March (see above in Branch Events).  We are keen to fill the role of Secretary in particular, but there are also lots of other committee roles available.  You’ll attend branch meetings at the pub (or virtually), help organise branch events and keep up to date with what’s going on in your area and the profession.  Looks great on the CV and doesn’t have to be time consuming!  Keep an eye on emails, facebook and the branch webpage for more details, or speak to a committee member.
