The IHBC’s Northern Ireland (NI) Branch, alongside the School’s main sponsors, Heritage Collective, have offered their collective thanks to the many people and players who helped make the Day School and Full School days and evenings such a success, demonstrating what lead organiser and joint chair Andrew McClelland characterised as ‘Shared heritage in action’!

IHBC Northern Ireland Branch past-Chair and lead School organiser Andrew McClelland said: ‘The Northern Ireland Branch was thrilled to showcase Belfast and the wider region during the IHBC Annual School 2018 and to convey important stories about the rich heritage of people and place.’
‘Such a gathering can only happen with the collaboration of many people and organisations who generously gave of their time and knowledge to present, lead tours and open up their buildings especially for us.’
‘That’s shared heritage in action and demonstrates the value and significance of making positive connections when addressing the sometimes difficult issues surrounding heritage.’
Lucy Jarvis, Director of Full School main sponsor company Heritage Collective said: ‘We were pleased to see such an excellent turnout for the Summer School in Belfast. It was great to be in Belfast, in the sunshine, for an informative event with interesting speakers and debate. The impressive host venues added to it all. Our thanks to the IHBC.
