HES: Grants updates etc

Historic Environment Scotland (HES) has updated it grants deadlines for 2020 published then on the grants website, while also introducing a new ‘expressions of interest’ process for their grant programmes.

HES writes:

Please note that all applicants are now required to submit a brief expression of interest form before making an application to any of our grant programmes. More information is available on the ‘how to apply’ page for each programme….

Historic Environment Repair Grant
Grants to support the cost of conservation-standard repair projects for buildings, places of worship or ancient monuments which are of special architectural, historic or archaeological interest.

Historic Environment Support Fund
A small fund used to provide support for one-off heritage events, small projects and training activities.

Organisational Support Fund
Providing financial support to organisations responsible for the operation, management or safeguarding of historic environment assets.

Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS)
Grants to support heritage-led regeneration in Conservation Areas

Archaeology Programme funding
Funding for research and intervention projects which help to deliver Scotland’s Archaeology Strategy and rescue archaeological information from unavoidable threats.
