IHBC’s latest Council concludes ‘successful and worthwhile training’ with insights etc. into trustee & director roles and duties

The IHBC’s Council, the Institute’s inclusive advisory and training body with training at its heart, held its fourth online meeting on 19 October offered customised training on charity leadership and serving as a charity trustee and company director.

As part of the Council’s dual role in developing training for IHBC and in encouraging participation in the Institute Catriona Reynolds, Head of Governance & Engagement at Arts & Business Scotland introduced some real quality interactive practical online training to help delegates understand the role of a charity Trustee.  IHBC President Mike Brown thanked Catriona Reynolds for her ‘clear, authoritative, fascinating and thought-provoking presentation’.

Small breakout groups enabled delegates to think through ideas and concepts of charity management.

One delegate commented that: ‘The breakout table experience was just as awkward as it usually is in person, but did work just as well! I didn’t know you could do that, so that was another lesson.’
