IHBC’s 2019 Annual School included the Day School exploration of security aspects of the theme – ‘Heritage, Risk and Resilience’ – with police security adviser Stephen Armson-Smith’s talk now available on IHBC’s YouTube channel, while he offers a special post-school update for anyone following up on this free CPD.

Further to his talk, Stephen Armson-Smith says: ‘We had a successful event at the Hyde Hall Summer Flower Show promoting garden security and defensive planting. It may be of added use to IHBC members interested in the topic, as a lot of that content can also fit the heritage and conservation world; for example mitigating risk within boundary treatments and vulnerable areas like concealed windows etc.
