PRT secures HLF Catalyst funding

The Prince’s Regeneration Trust (PRT) is delighted to announce initial Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) support for a £465,900 Catalyst Umbrella bid, designed to change how communities save heritage.

PRT writes:
PRT proposes to deliver an ambitious national learning and support programme to empower individuals, communities and building preservation trusts to work in innovative ways to create robust, professional heritage projects that attract sustainable private investment. The project will include national talks, regional workshops and targeted mentoring support. It will be underpinned by an innovative digital platform designed to bring together each strand of the project, provide a place for peer-to-peer learning and create space for projects from all over the UK to communicate with each other and attract support from volunteers and potential donors.

The three year programme will inspire and bring together all those wanting to engage with heritage, driving them towards believing and understanding how it is possible to save heritage without relying on public funds. Participants will be supported by PRT, utilising their 16 years of experience in supporting community-led heritage projects. Our programme of talks, workshops, mentoring and online dialogue will make projects more robust, encouraging projects to look outside of their sector or region for support and get their brand and vision to a global audience.
