IHBC HESPR’s top pick this week: Lakeland Arts seeks QS services for Abbot Hall site, closing 11/06, value £80k 

HESPR logoThe IHBC’s heritage business register HESPR – the Historic Environment Service Providers Recognition scheme – offers members weekly ‘News and Tender Alert’ emails, with the IHBC Director’s top pick for NewsBlog readers this week featuring Lakeland Arts calling for a Quantity Surveyor (QS) to oversee the redevelopment of the Abbot Hall site, closing 11 June and valued at £80,000.

The IHBC Director’s pick from the HESPR News and Tender Alert email for this week features the call from Lakeland Arts for a Quantity Surveyor ‘to oversee the redevelopment of the Abbot Hall site comprising Grade I listed Abbot Hall Art Gallery, Grade II listed Museum of Lakeland life and Industry and wider estate in the Kirkland conservation area of Kendal’.  The call notes that ‘Previous experience and understanding of projects in heritage buildings of a similar scale is required. The QS will work closely with the Design Team, Client Project Manager and other consultants to see the project through from the current stage to completion. The scope will also include assisting with the client’s Arts Council England Stage Two application due in December 2018.’ The deadline is 11 June and the project is valued at £80,000.
